HEY, I'M HOLLY!

I've been a registered dietitian for 10+ years, and a lover of food always. As a lifelong athlete and dancer, former collegiate swimmer, and current circus aerialist, I've had many ups and downs with energy, weight, relationship to food and exercise, and understanding of what it is that actually works to make us feel good.

I wholeheartedly believe in the power of good nutrition to change our day-to-day, improve our long-term health, and increase our ability to enjoy life.

My Educational & Professional Background

In 2012, I graduated from Nazareth College in Rochester. NY with a bachelor's degree in psychology. From there, I went on to complete my master's in Nutrition Science at Syracuse University.
Another step to becoming a dietitian is completing an internship. For that I was accepted into the program at Yale-New Haven Hospital in CT. Upon completing my internship, I began working on the transplant team at Yale-New Haven Hospital, where I stayed for 8 years.
Additionally, I spent time working in an outpatient eating disorder recovery clinic.
Finally, I moved back to Rochester, NY to work for the University of Rochester Medical Center Fitness Science program, building and growing the now thriving nutrition pillar of the program.

MY MISSION

The recipe of having gone through enough ups and downs in my own relationship with food, watching friends and family experiencing the chains of rollercoaster dieting, plus helping thousands of clients over the last 10 years, led me to commit to a goal.

That goal is to help as many people as I can break away from the misery of yo-yo dieting and getting sucked into each new fad, just to feel lonely and hungry, while achieving the same results...quick weight loss followed by regain of the same weight, plus some added bonus pounds.

It's NEVER too late to develop a healthy relationship with food that will sustain your health allow you to lead a life without the food noise, guilt, and constant discomfort.

MY VALUES

All the work that I do comes from a scientific, evidenced-based standpoint. As a registered dietitian, I am credentialed through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and therefore held to the highest standards of care. That means keeping up with all of the latest research, providing safe and healthy recommendations, and never selling you something just for the sake of it.

I will always do my best to give you the correct information that is best tailored to you and your needs, always taking into account real-life factors and health conditions that may impact all of us differently.
